The well known Gorman-Rupp T Series range of solids handling, self priming pumps were developed and introduced to the market back in 1963.

The concept of a self priming sewage pump was revolutionary. No longer was it necessary to mount your pump in a vulnerable position down in a dry well or immerse your pump and motor under the water.

The pump and motor could now be mounted “high and dry” above the wet well making the pump and motor easily accessible for maintenance.

The Gorman-Rupp has become a market leader over the last 39 years. Today it is the pump of choice among consulting engineers and end users due to its remarkable reliability and low running/maintenance costs.

Pumptron is therefore pleased to advise that “The best just got better” with the release of the new “Super T” version of our tried and tested sewage pumps.

We have added features such as: -

  • External shim less adjustment of the wear plate to impeller clearance without having to realign couplings or vee-belt drives.
  • Dual protection of bearings by atmospheric isolation of the seal cavity thereby preventing seal leakage from reaching the bearings.
  • Larger shaft and bearings providing extended pump life under arduous pumping conditions.
  • The addition of an additional sight gauge providing easy visual monitoring of the oil in the seal chamber.
  • Pusher bolts are now provided to assist in the removal of the removable cover plate and rotating assembly.
  • A second O ring has been fitted to the removable cover plate to extend the life of the pump casing and prevent internal recirculation between suction and discharge chambers.
  • The cover plate is now fitted with four wing nuts providing for easier fitment, higher casing pressure and easier removal.

The really good news is that these extra features have been included in our Super T pumps at no extra cost to the customer.
